America’s National Security looks different through a periscope. Having operated around the globe and under the oceans for 20-years as a Submariner, Tom has a unique understanding of the true threats to our nation and what is required to defend against those threats. Peace through strength is not a slogan to Tom, it is what he did in the Navy and he will ensure it continues as a Senator. Tom has operated against our most dangerous adversaries — Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran — and understands first hand their capabilities and vulnerabilities. Tom will work everyday to ensure our United States military is properly resourced, equipped and trained to effectively deter war, and if required, to employ overwhelming force to quickly and decisively crush any enemy who chooses war.

Billions of dollars stolen from Minnesota tax-payers and $60 million recovered? Unacceptable.

Minnesotans have seen enough of the waste, fraud, and excuses. From the Feeding Our Future, to Child Care, to Governor Walz’s office budget, fraud must be stopped, people held accountable and the money recovered. Significant portions of the Minnesota fraud attacked federal programs, and as your United States Senator, Tom will lead the charge to stop Minnesota’s Culture of Corruption.

Congress Must Budget, Not Just Tax, Spend, and Tax Again

A $38,000,000,000,000 debt (that is $38 trillion), a 44-day government shutdown, $1 trillion per year spent to pay interest on the debt. How did we get here? Our United States Congress passed 4 federal government budgets on time 4 times in the last 48 years - that is how.
Should we continue with more of the same and hope for different results? Or, force Congress to fix itself, so it can actually work to serve Minnesotans and all Americans. Tom’s Budget Bill will incentivize Congress to actually budget, not just spend and tax.

Tom served as a Navy Submariner for over 20-years for his love of country and to protect the freedom and liberty for all Americans to pursue their unique American Dream. Today, the goodness of that genuine Dream is far too often painted with shades of division, guilt, and entitlement; sadly leaving far too many young Americans naive to the greatness, uniqueness, and generosity of our great nation. America is great today not despite our past, but because of past generations of Americans – generations who sought a new life, who farmed our land, who built our cities, who fought and won great battles, who championed capitalism and defeated socialism, and who raised families and pursued their American Dreams. Tom believes in the American Dream and he will fight everyday as your Senator to ensure every child in Minnesota believes in it too.

Tom grew up in Minnesota public schools and believes in restoring excellence and accountability to every classroom. He supports school choice, ensuring every family is empowered to make the best decisions for their children. Parents deserve transparency, and students deserve an education rooted in opportunity.

Guided by his Catholic fatih, Tom believes in the sanctity of life and in supporting moms, babies, and families. His goal is to minimize abortions by creating a culture and economy where life is valued, mothers are supported, and families thrive. He’s pro-baby, pro-mom, and pro-family.

Second Amendment

UPHOLDING THE SECOND AMENDMENT

Tom is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and responsible gun ownership. As a sportsman and Navy Veteran, he knows firearms are part of America’s heritage and freedom. He supports keeping guns out of the hands of criminals and will take action to ensure our kids are safe at school with his Protect Our Kids Bill - an armed security professional at every school in Minnesota.
